We will be celebrating Thanksgiving Eve worship, which is always a time for us to gather bags filled with food at our altar. Bags, to fill with groceries, will be available in the Gathering Space beginning November 4 through November 19. At the Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, November 22 at 7pm, we will be loading the food bags into a truck for delivery to our sister church, Community Lutheran in Flat Rock, to support their Helping Hands ministry. We are offering two other options for monetary donations. First, beginning November 4, you can go online to splconline.com/give and select Thanksgiving Food Drive. You can also write a check to St. Paul, including “Food Drive” in the memo. We will be accepting financial donations for the food drive until November 22. All financial donations will be sent to Family of God Lutheran Church in Detroit to support their meal ministry.
