Let’s celebrate dads on Saturday, June 13, 10:00am to 12:00pm with a Father’s Day Fishing Derby! Families of all ages are invited to join us for this special event at the Patriot’s Park Reflection Pond in Riverview. Bring your own fishing gear. This is a Michigan Free Fishing Weekend so no fishing license is required. We’ll kick off the morning with a Father’s Day devotion activity and have a special prizes for different fishing categories. Family Life Ministry is an evolving area of reaching out to families in our congregation and community to help them fulfill their God-given role as primary teacher of the Christian faith to their children and equipping them to be the light of Christ in their homes, neighborhoods, schools and community. Family Life Ministry seeks to change the role of the church from the center of discipling activity to the enabling of homes and families as the center of that activity. Family Life Ministry encompasses not only parents and children, but recognizes the important role grandparents and other family members play in the faith development of children. We seek also to enable congregation members to participate in these families lives as well!
