More Than an Opinion / Jesus meets us in the middle of all the “monuments” we build, our opinions, our self‑made versions of Him, and asks the only question that really matters: “Who do you say that I am?” This week, we may discover how easily we carve Jesus into a tool for our agendas but we hear about the grace of Jesus, who goes to the cross for idol‑makers just like us. The real Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the living God, shatters our monuments and gives us a confession we could never build on our own. On that Rock, He builds a church the gates of hell cannot overcome, and He gives forgiveness that is ours right now. To prepare for worship, read Matthew 16:13-20.
