Next Week’s Sermon: May 2/3

Building the Building / As common as it might be, “where do you go to church?” is something of a misnomer. Church is not just a building where gatherings and religious activities take place. As Peter describes it, Church is people. The Church’s foundation is Jesus, the cornerstone. The Church is built with living stones, people who are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession. The Church builds the building through loving lives and loving words. The Church declares the life of the living Lord and His magnificent mercy. Maybe the common question should be, “where does the Church go?” to live, share and declare. Come and be built up by Jesus! To prepare for worship, read 1 Peter 2:4-10.
