Reckless Love / Sometimes people behave in a certain way that seems reckless. They say and do things that have us saying, “What are they thinking?” Jesus tells a story about vineyard tenants who reject and kill the owner’s servants…and then his son! What are they thinking? But the owner keeps sending his servants and son, even if they are rejected and killed! What is He thinking? Incredibly, the owner is thinking of grace. Because the son is Jesus, the stone rejected becoming the cornerstone of forgiveness. This rejection and exaltation of Jesus is because the Father is thinking only of us: sinners in need of salvation. What reckless love to trust in! To prepare for worship, read Matthew 21:33-44.
