A Surprising Catch / As we conclude our series “The Kingdom: Stories, Secrets and Surprises”, we hear Jesus tell a story about a fishing trip. The net is cast, all kinds of fish are gathered and then they are sorted out on shore between the good and the bad. How is this “the kingdom of heaven”? The Good News of Jesus does not discriminate; it’s for all! The Lord is the one who determines who will be saved: those in Christ! Trusting in that Good News for us and for all, we embrace our calling as “fishers of men”, casting the net of the Gospel to all…and trusting the Lord will sort everything out on the Last Day! Come and get caught up in the grace of Jesus! To prepare for worship, read Matthew 13:47-50.
