This study is a lifeline, a way to get oxygen into the places of our hearts that have been starving to breathe and fully live. We are going to dive into the seven I AM statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John. We are going to go to places in the Holy Land where Jesus may have been when He uttered the words. We want the Word of God to come alive to you in this study—to reach the recesses of your heart because we truly believe that God’s Word to us is life. The study will be held January 15 through February 26, from 9:30 to 11:30, in Room Yellow 3.

The Friends in Faith Theater will be showing "Let There Be Light" on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 1:00pm in the Youth Room. No admission will be charged, but there will be snacks available for a free will offering. 

Plot Description: World-famous atheist Dr. Sol Harkens (Kevin Sorbo) delights in debating Christians. Our New Year’s offerings will support our Youth to NYG: The LCMS National Youth Gathering (NYG) is July 19-23, 2025 in New Orleans. We are so excited that eleven of our youth are attending. At our New Year’s Eve service, as well as online through the giving page on our website and app, please support our youth by donating to the cost of the experience. Thanks to a generous donor, we have a $5000 matching gift!

St. Paul Youth are invited to the 2nd Annual Reindeer Games on December 15, 6:00-8:00pm in the Youth Room. There will be Christmas games, karaoke, a photo booth and Christmas cookie/ornament decorating. Also, we'll be making Christmas cards for the residents of Downriver Estates. Winter refreshments will be served, so come and join the fun and bring a friend!

Who’s the STAR of the Christmas? I know, I know…it’s Jesus! Long ago, God sent the Star of Bethlehem to guide the wise men to the newborn Savior. In other words, He gave them a light to follow. And guess what—He gives us a light to follow too! Join us for this year’s Gingerbread Bash: Follow that Star as together families discover what it means to follow the “Light of the World” and make Jesus the STAR of your life. Gingerbread Bash is a fun, hands-on way for the whole family to celebrate Christmas together! We’ll make a gingerbread nativity, play games and hear the Christmas story from the Bible from a whole new perspective! You are not going to want to miss it! Join us on Sunday, December 8, 12:00 - 1:30pm in the Fellowship Hall immediately following our 11:00am worship service.

Stop by the St. Paul Christmas Pop-up at the Trenton Christmas Parade on December 7 from 5:00-6:00pm. We'll be 'Sharing God's Warmth, One Cup at a Time,' by serving coffee and hot chocolate. If you'd like to help out, contact the office. 

Let’s worship together on December 4 at 7:00pm, in our Advent Hymn Festival Worship: Singing the Christmas Story. During this Advent season for our midweek service, we are blessed to come together and enjoy the season in Word and song. We will be singing together some of your favorite hymns of the season and reflecting on the joy and comfort of God’s promises being fulfilled in Jesus.

Advent by Candlelight is a Women’s event where we get to invite friends and neighbors to tea and dessert. We’ll also enjoy a Christmas message and entertainment. Tuesday, December 3 at 6:30pm in the CLC. We are looking forward to this beautiful time to prepare our hearts for the Christmas season celebrating the birth of our Lord!

Thanksgiving Eve worship will be centered on Gratitude grounded in Christ, so we may be grateful in all things. Please plan to join us in worship and Holy Communion. and in offering our gifts of help through our food drive as well. We will join together to help bring all the food donations out of the sanctuary, an on its way to blessing the community through Helping Hands food ministry.

Friends in Faith invite you to the Emagine Theater in Woodhaven on Thursday, November 21 for the Noon showing of Bonhoeffer. 35 tickets are available at $5 each. After we'll have fellowship, a discussion of the movie and a late lunch at Six Stars Restaurant in Woodhaven. This is the true story of German theologian and Lutheran pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer who, as the world teetered on the brink of annihilation, was swept into the epicenter of a deadly plot to assassinate Hitler. Jake and Zach Scally are a dynamic duo from Toledo, Ohio. From an early age the brothers developed a passion for their faith and love of all things music. The Scally Brothers began writing and recording songs about hope and love over twelve years ago, when the band was originally founded, with messages that are vital during the valleys of our lives, offering a constant reminder that we aren’t alone, even in our darkest hour.
