What We Believe

At the end of each worship service, our pastor says “We live to know Christ,” and we answer with “And make Christ known.” We call this our shout out, and it reflects who we are as people and as a church.

We live to know Christ – we want to grow in our relationship with Jesus. We do this through worship, bible study, prayer, and just being there for each other through life’s ups and downs. We support those who are just starting to ask questions about faith to those who want to grow their seasoned faith even deeper.

And make Christ known – we want to show this love to everyone around us, through compassionate care for those in need, through outreach, and through missions locally and around the world. Check out our ministries to see how we put this love of Jesus in action.

As a Lutheran Church, we have three pillars of belief:
Grace Alone, Faith Alone, and Scripture Alone.

Grace Alone.

God loves us, even though we rebel against Him. God sent Jesus to give us what we did not deserve: forgiveness, life, and salvation.

Faith Alone.

Those who hear the good news of Jesus
& believe it are forgiven and have eternal life. The Holy Spirit creates faith in us
through His Word.

Scripture Alone.

The Bible is where we go to find out what we believe and who we believe in; our reason and experience must follow God's Word.

If you want to find out more about what we believe, our pastors are happy to talk with you.
