Next Week’s Sermon: December 13/14

Our Dear Christ Enters In: Baby Names / While gender reveal parties are all the rage these days, equally important is giving your baby their name. Your name is tied to everything in your life, for better…or worse. As we continue our series, “Our Dear Christ Enters In”, we see that when the angel Gabriel announced that Mary would give birth to a son…the “Son of the Most High”…this was more than revealing a gender: “You shall call His name Jesus.” For the Son of God had come in the flesh to save people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). No matter what your name is, what it means and what is tied to it, a baby named Jesus came to show His unconditional love for you, naming you “child of God”. Come and see what’s in a name! To prepare for worship, read Luke 1:26-33.
