Next Week’s Sermon: November 22/23

Who is God? / When it comes to “believing in god”, things seem to be all over the map these days. For some, “science” has become their god. We are surrounded by different faith expressions, all claiming to know the one, true “god”. Even some in the Church have turned from a Christian understanding of God to “spiritual” understandings that fit whatever they think a “good life” may be like. Do we claim to “live in the light” while really “embracing the darkness”? The Good News is that the one true God, the firstborn of all creation, is Jesus. He is the light of the world. He has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. He is the God who dies on the cross to reconcile us to Himself. There truly is no name under heaven given to men by which we may be saved! Come and hear who this God is for you and everyone! To prepare for worship, read Colossians 1:13-20.
